With Thanksgiving travel looming, Bay State gas prices are down another 3 cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.

Self-serve, regular unleaded gas is currently averaging $3.58 a gallon, 17 cents above the national average for self-serve unleaded of $3.41. Local prices are down 18 cents over the past month.

A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was $3.33.

Midgrade unleaded and diesel gas both dropped a cent this week to $3.78 and $4.08 a gallon, respectively. Premium unleaded stayed at the same at $3.91 a gallon.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 40 cents, from a low of 3.45 to a high of $3.85.
